It feels like just yesterday that I was yapping about coleslaw, but today I wanted to do a little poll and find out what y'all's view is on another fine cabbage product: sauerkraut! As kids, we were totally raised on this stuff, straight out of the can and browned in a skillet with a package of hot dogs (cut diagonally with flair!) mixed in. I always loved it. It's not really a dish that I make very often and I'm not sure why it's off my radar. Maybe it has gone out of fashion for a time (a’ la acid washed jeans) and will be coming back around soon. According to some studies, it has cancer fighting properties. Who knew!?!
So here's the question...what do you think of this tangy dish?
